So...you just put the FMU and missing link in and you dont need to tune/dyno it or anything until you get a standalone system or chipped ECU?

yeah its my DD...so we'll deal with that situation when the time comes.
No man, you need to plan ahead now. If you have places to be, you will need a way to get there. I can almost garauntee that you're going to run into issues and be without a car at some point. Nature of the beast...

+2^^ I had to do alot of custom work because of my swap and it ended up taking me the better part of three weeks to get every thing done on mine. There will always be something you miss or need, I've never done one where there wasn't.

To actually get everything on the car, it only took a weekend. But to get it driveable took slightly over a week. Now it's been just over a month, and I'm still working out bugs. This is the problem when budget boosting your daily driver. I have to drive it to work, so rather than being able to just come home and start working on it, I have to wait 2 hours for the sumbitch to cool down.

I'm defintiely not trying to deter you from doing the project, as I think it's a great learning experience for anyone. I just don't want anyone to be unprepared. Anything I say in these posts, are things that I wish someone had told me before jumping into my project.
