Default Question about what car to get for a Turbo?

Please forgive me if i posted in the wrong section, but i am looking for another car to get that i eventually want to put a turbo on...I am currently looking at a 2000 Si Civic, but im not sure how much abuse or boost the B16 can take and for how long, any opinions are greatly appreciated!!! Also if you would recommend maybe starting with something different like an Intergra GSR instead, what is the best year to get if i decide to go that route, although i love the look of the 99-00 Si better, not to offend anyone...I am just looking for a good solid foundation!!!

Many thanks in advance for your input....

either a si or a gsr would be fine to boost, but not too much on a stock bottom end. a good rule of thumb is no more than 7-9 psi depending on driving style, octane gas you can get, and how well it is tuned. the gsr with its 1.8 will offer more all out performance if you decide to go crazy. or get your si get a gsr block and put the b16 head on the b18c block and you have the basics of a type r motor.

um i hope your kidding. a stock GSR in a stock civic will run 14.5 easy. a few breathing mods (exaust, intake, header, high flow cat) and a good clutch will put it at low 14s. mustang drivers will **** themselves if they see a civic holding with them.

and you dont need nitrous on a GSR to beat a mustang.
