Default Turbo Build

Ok Iv decided on building up my D....i want to make my own turbo kit as it is way cheaper and better performance am i correct? What are all the parts I need and wheres the best place to get them considering im in Canada.

I guess it might be nice to give you my engine...its a d16y8, also I want around 7 psi for now but will want to be able to push it up to 15 psi when i get new internals

umm well new would be niced but on different pieces i could definately go with used...i found a used custom kit on custom civics for 400.00... he said he has to sell it i wonder if its any good... he said he was running 16 psi of boost on his d16z6. And would i be able to install it myself...my dad and step dad are real knowledgable about engines any guides?

Installing a turbo system is a big deal, but its doable. U just gotta take your time and remember all the steps. Used parts are not always a bad idea.......but youve gotta be careful what you buy.......remember you get what you pay for.

There a DIY posted. My advice.......Take you time, and dont try to throw it together. The best thing to do is RESEARCH before you try it.

Alright would u just reccommend a kit for a first time turboer? Or a used custom kit? instead of piecing together one myself...iv done some research, whats the difference in turbos, intercoolers etc?

the thing that i noticed the most is that whatever your budget is its probably gonna be about another 200-400 bucks more than what you planned on because things go wrong or you have little things hear and there....
