Default Turbo Manifold Gaskets

When I bought my car the turbo manifold gasket was burnt and exhaust was escaping from the turbo manifold. I bought a piece of gasket it was cork with a steel center, i cut it out and replaced the gasket. Now about three weeks later it is all burnt up again and ecxhast is coming out from the front of the engine again where the gasket is broke. I just really hate how it makes my car sound, I'm going to bring it to a tuner shop tomorrow for them to take a look to see if they have a gasket that would work, what should I be looking for? Couldn't I just use a metal gasket so i wouldn't have to worry about the cork burning away? How important isthe torque of the 4 turbo manifold bolts and what should it be at?
The setup is a D15B Vtec engine with a 14b turbo. Also is there such a thing as a performance turbo manifold and what type of performance would I see in replacing it?

I talked to a few people and I guess for some reason i need a custom gasket cut. So I'm not sure if I could even get a metal gasket and does anyone know what the bolts torque should be?

Just get the proper exhaust manifold gasket for your motor from NAPA or something. IIRC the torque on those is somewhere areound 27, but definitely check the manual on that

You put a cork gasket between the manifold and the turbo?! [:-]

You realize that reaches like 1200 degrees right? Lol.

I don't know how to findthe right gasket. The mechanic replaced the gasket for me and said it might last me about 20 000km before it goes again, I'm not sure what type of gasket but it had to be custom cut. The engine is a d15b vtec but the mechanic said he thinks the turbo manifold might be from a eagle talon because thats where my turbo is from (14b). Does anyone have suggestions?

It should just be a 1G DSM gasket. I need one too. I'll let you know what I find.
