turbo oil feed orifice
I just installed a garrett T3 on my EF and now when it hits high boost it smokes i was wanting to know if it might need an orifice put in place to keep the pressure/volume down i dont know alot about boosted civics and anyone with any suggestions would be appreciated

Umm, what? What kind of orafice? and what pressure volume are you speaking of?
How can you tell it smokes when it's at high boost? Seems to me that you would be moving pretty good at full boost and wouldn't be able to discernthe origin of smoke.

You can put a restrictor on it, but if the turbo's leaking it's going to leak at any boost level. It's just the way it works.
Sounds like you've got some other problems personally.

im talkin about in neutral when the turbo is spooled up it is blowin smoke out of the tail pipe i dont need to check my compression and just to let you know im a auto tech. i was just wondering that someone here might be able to answer my question not criticize my mechanical know how

RE: turbo oil feed orifice
did u get the turbo used?
if you did its probably somethign internal - compression and leakdown test
if its not then its the turbo seals on the exhaust side.. take off an I/C pipe and see if theres oil on the inside of the I/C pipes

One of many things is going on with your setup. Either the seals are shot in the turbo and its burning up that way, your old *** motor is burning oil, rings are going, etc.. Could be many factors.
Why do you think its unneccesary to check your compression? Its cheap, easy, and can tell you quite a bit about the motor
