That makes since But there is one thing ive been told and that is regardless of what type of Forced Induction U go with u have to Run a ESM or bypass because the car wasnt originally Turbo'd or supercharged

 

What is an ESM? What is a bypass?

 

Yea well see I have A H series and I just bought a Turbo and I went to the speed shop to find a BOV and Wastegate. Well The guy said i either have to Buy a HKS piggyback ecu or this ESM thing But i dunno.

 

I know what a piggy back is. It is a computer that hooks up with your car's original computer. It lets you modify the fuel maps i believe.

 

What should i do about the ECU?
Ive talked to Hondata about it and they told me to Run a GSR ecu? The said itll run richer to correct for the turbo.

 

If i was goin to turbo my car, i would run an aftermarket ECU. Something that i hook up a laptop to and tune. I dunno what computer will allow this since i haven't looked into this.

 

The Aem Piggyback I think can but i could be wrong. But that would be something to look into.

 

tech 2 my friend has one on his hatch it is sweet tunes through a laptop no ecu, no stock wiring harness, all a afc will do for you is lie to the ecu get something stand alone

 

I think you mean to say EMS not ESM. No I would not recomend a GSR ECU alone when you boost.

Ok Supercharger vs Turbo

Depends on your ending goals, I myself am not a fan of a SC on a FWD car or a sub 3.5L engine. I am not saying they suck but a turbo has more room to grow later down the road and on top of that if you have or plan a H22 swap in your civic I dont think a SC will fit being the only one I know offered for that engine is a Jackson racing unit.
