Default Turbocharger Pricing for B18c

just curious what these kits run on average, just scopin out ebay and lots of "turbo kits" for in the 500s sounds awefully cheap, even redlineracing has one for like 800..

yea but they dont come with intercoolers and upgraded injectors and new fuel pumps and fuel rails and Fuel Management systems and blow off valves. U can get a turbo kit for about 1400......intercooler for a few hundred more........and a blow off valve for 200..........and leave ur internals @ stock and safely run 5-7PSI safely. When u wanna run high boost u need to upgrade more things......making it more expensive. So basically u can boost ur car @ 6PSI for about 2 grand.

you can save some money if you get each piece individually instead of getting a kit. and you get a better understanding of how a turbo kit works.

then after you piece together the main parts then add an intercooler, wastegate, and BOV

For a B18C, throw a B16A head on there, THEN TC it.

Or you could get low compression pistons.

yeah but that would involve pulling the engine and pulling the bottom end off...unless you wanna do that while its in the car...which is a huge pain in the ***

I actually like doing bottom end work with the engine in the car. You can just lay down with plenty of room to work, it's really easy to see everything, and you can torque stuff without the engine floating around on a rack.
