Default V8 guy turboing a LS motor swapped Civ... help a Newb

I bought a mid 90's Canadian coupe with no motor for a $100. Very nice shape really.

Well I was told that a LS motor loves boost and is a fairly cheap swap. Im not sure because im a v8 guy and have no idea.

Well what is the best route to take for fuel control. I do not agree with normal FMUs like the Cartek because I think they
are somwhat hack and just dont fuel as well as other options out there.

I know hte best option is always bigger injectors (if hondas need them for the extra air) and a tuning software (hondata?)...
But this is not a option because I just went down that route with my Trans Am and dont have the extra cash for something
that involved (considering im no good at tuning yet also). So what are my options? I heard there are MAF translater type of devices
that work really well, so tell me what is available for the hondas.

Im just oging to buy a header, intercooler, wastegate, BOV of ebay (jsut bought turbosmart stuff for my TA so im broke) and make the rest.

Tips or anything? Im a true newbie at the honda thing though im fasinated with them....

Thanks!

i would suggest the neptune system, but i also have a complete turbo kit that has a fuel managment unit that will be good up to 8 pounds of boost and it is plug and play type of deal, the turbo is a t3t4 .63 A/R, intercooler and some piping might not be enough piping for entire intercooler kit but not hard to round up the rest (it is polished stainless), the 38mm waist gate, blow off, boost gauge, manifold, air fuel gauge, etc. basically a full kit, if you are interested it will get you going down the right path it is for a b series so it will work on the ls. it was used for about 3000 miles and never had a problem went larger for more power race wise, thats all. there is no play in the turbo or anything. back to the fuel managment it is a 12:1 i would not suggest going over 8 pounds with this but i have heard people doing it to 12 pounds. let me know if you are interested in the turbo kit, it will be better then the ones off of ebay for the price.

Well one freind has some motor that is a a F..blahblah... out of a early 90's accord with 50,000 miles on it. Claims it is good for boosting because of the lower compression...

any input on that?

Did you buy a civic? or accord? A ls turbo is a cheap way to make good power. A f-series out of the accord is garbage if you have a civic. And if you turbo, your going to need a tune of some sort. A fmu is the cheapest way out, but isn't near as good as a tune. You can run 10lbs on a ls all day with a tune. I'd do crome. Take it to a shop they chip it and adjust your air fuel timimg ect. But you will be maxing out your injectors and fuel pump.

technically accord motors are fine in civics, but its all the drawbacks of an H22 swap without the 200hp.

you have to have something to prove with a single cam to bother with it, but as far as the motor itself though, it would be a lot faster than a b16 swap. way not worth the headaches though.
