Just 25%, though? That's about 50hp or so....I wonder how much it's going to cost.

But I thought the 06 Si made 197 at the flywheel? Twenty-five percent of 200 is 50....I'm not really trying to argue semantics or anything, just kinda curious. Are they underrated from the factory? I know car makers do that sometimes....why I don't know.

Why? Because they know people like us are going to toss it on the dyno as soon as we get it, and if it reads lower than what the claim, there will hell to pay.

I guess so, but some of these guys are just straight up wrong (whether on purpose or not). Like when the SRT-4s first came out, the were factory rated @ 215. But bone stock SRT4s were dynoing at over 200 to the wheels. The "Terminator" Cobras were the same way (factory rating =390, dynoing @ 370 or higher). So they're obviously putting more to the flywheel. I seems like it'd be more beneficial to the manufacturer if they actually rated it closer to what it was. Maybe for insurance reasons, like the old Shelbys?

The new SI puts 197 to the crank.
