Well since it's a pet peeve, my initial reaction is somewhat crude. Sorry that it comes off like that.

true true, its looking more and more like ill be doing it myself. Which honestly will be really fun im looking forward to it now. Im probably gonna buy hamorheads dsm injectors for sale right now and start searching for the rest of my stuff. But just to clarify.

ebay intercoolers and IC piping are ok? filters too? but not mani's, BOV's, wastegates, what about radiators and slim line fans off ebay?

ebay parts

intercooler - safe
charge piping - safe
BOV - might work ok but won't be that great and I wouldn't be surprised if you develop boost leak soon
wastegates - might work ok but won't be that great and I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't work well
stainless steel manifolds - might last, might not.
cast iron manifolds - safe
radiators - safe
fans - safe

for the radiator I recommend the CXracing one. If I could do it all over again, I would have bought the CXracing one that includes a fan and shroud instead of just the fan. The zip ties included with the one without the shroud suck, and are kinda ghetto.

hey what do you guys think of this kit?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Tread...=p4506.c0.m245

it comes with a turbonetics turbo, spearco intercooler, turbonetics evolution wastegate and your choice of BOV's including the HKS SSQV. Not too bad for 1700 bucks eh?

That looks like a good kit. Basically, that kit has good crucial parts, and then ebay quality parts of the parts that are okay to use generic, like piping, cast manifold, etc.

The kit is kinda like a brand new custom parted-together kit, in that they picked good brands for crucial parts, and saved money on the not so-crucial parts by going generic. That's normally what someone who pieces together a kit will do.

Use a better air filter though
