^ I'm with stupid.
And Kanarrjl, even if the stock viper run 11's (last spec I saw was 12.7, but I'm sure it's way outdated), that's coming from a 10-cylinder. Ford now runs mid-13's with their v6's. I'm still not impressed by the viper, especially for the cost. I don't know, maybe it's because I see too many of them around here and they've lost their luster.

Vipers are beautiful cars, minus the newer generation when they were first released. SRT10 coupes look a little better, like the older vipers.

Never really knew anyone to put down a viper like that for the stupid reason it's made from Chrysler/Dodge or it's price tag. I appreciate the car for it's looks. Don't be close minded lol
Viper - $70k, 11-second car
2011 Mustang GT - $30k, high 12-second car. Blower for said mustang ~$2,000, time reduced to 11's.
The ball's in your court. And I know, you can go forced induction with a Viper. But the viper is still double the cost of the Mustang.
Oh, and for street legal cars compared to the Venom 1000, how about the Bugatti veyron, Keonigsigg CCX, Ultimate Aero TT, just to name a few? Granted, they're more expensive, but you don't seem to care about cost. Or do you have a double standard?
And the McLaren F1 LM is absolutely gorgeous, but you wouldn't see me shelling out $10,000,000+ for one if I had the money; price tag is a legitimate reason to not like a car.

^reaper you may want to take that bugatti veyron off of that list. the venom will beat it from 0-200 and by a longshot from 100-200, but i will give you that it lacks in the 0-60 department because well its hard to get more traction than that and im
(believe me they did the test of those and 3 other "supercars" 20 min from my house :P
not sure about the specs on the other cars.

You can drive the cars from my list in California
And I don't know actual specs, I just know the SSC Ultimate Aero TT surpassed the Veyron in both top speed and power output. Either way, a Venom 1000 is way down the list on cars I'd buy if I had the money. Personally, I don't like from bumpers that look like emoticons.
Inthezone, exactly how many makes of cars have you worked on? Personally, I've worked on pretty much everything from Kias to Mercedes-Benz (somehow, I've found that I've become the shop's Euro luxury mechanic... I manage to get all the BMWs, MBs, Audis, etc lol). I'll take the high-end German cars over having to work on a Daimler-Chrysler... and that's saying something. Having worked on their product, I do have the right to not like their cars for the fact that they make them. I'm not saying it's not a high-output supercar, or even that it's not a good car. I'm just saying I absolutely hate Daimler-Chrysler from personal experience. And again, price tag is a very good reason to not like a car.
*edit: how did we go from me making a joke about inthezone's avitar to discussing these cars? Oh, and again... spending $70k on a car is retarded. Also, since we're talking Hennesseys here, the price tag is a little higher than $70k.

^ straight from the Hennessey site
Standing Mile: 217.9 mph
0-60: 2.25 sec. *
1/4 mile: 9.75 sec. @ 148+ mph *
Note: * Denotes Viper World Record. Times were obtained with Mickey Thompson ET Street tires
This I like but I am a Chrysler fan so...
o yeah and so you know Daimler-Chrysler is no more.

Meh, I'm done with the argument. I concede to you two. And by that I mean I really don't feel like arguing over taste anymore. I'm just saying $70k for a new viper and $180k/$225k (I can't figure out which is accurate) for a Hennessey is too freakin' much money for a car, especially when you can get a house for less than the Venom 1000.
On a side note, anyone know if the Venom 1000 at least has a full belly pan? I know it has a little rear diffuser (personally I'd have thrown a huge race-oriented one on it, but that's just me), but diffusers are pretty pointless if the car isn't flat-bottomed. And the other wing looks better on them.

lol you're getting worked up for no reason.
I don't care for Dodge, but I have always like the Vipers, ever since I saw them in the early 90's.
Liking a car does not mean you'll buy it regardless of the price. No one ever said the Viper was affordable or X money for a certain car is too much money for said car since a house can cost less, not sure why you argued that.
Now if I had the money, I'd buy a Viper. I'd probably never buy a car more expensive than a Viper, but that's just me.
That's all I'm saying, you're done with this, I am too, just wanted to clear up some things.

Not really getting worked up, it's just there's no point to the argument anymore since it's just become bench racing with cars nobody on these forums will ever own.
Anyway,
WhatdoIwin?
(seriously, anyone know if the Venom 1000 has a full belly pan? I'm really curious now lol)
