lol i used to be in the forum game too lol. nothing to be intimidated about, anyone can get a host, install a forum and manage it.. its keeping it managed thats the hard part.. and keeping your staff in line..

 

yeah i agree...our main problem is finding members HAHA

 

its all about advertisement and features.. we were known for our forums but i had everything from a full website to a social networking site.. all conjoined, we had a ****-ton of members.. we couldnt afford the bandwith from our server tho so we had to shut down..

 

what was your costs upto right before you shut down?

pm me link.. what genre is it? what software do you use, any mods or hacks to it? do you advertise? do you have spiders running thru it? are you listed for search engines? do you have a very large tag or keyword base? i found the best way to get the word out is pay to advertise on similar sites.. also get google adsence cause it makes u money plus helps advertise ur site
