Default Repair dilemma in Rochester, NY

99 Civic Si sucked up water through the cold air intake one rainy day. This caused a rod to break and crack the block. Head undamaged, motor is stock no mods.

Right now the car is just sitting in the driveway. Either sell or repair.

Any ideas on shops in the Rochester area who knows what they're doing?

ouch. so... what do you want to do? get a new engine? too bad Remmy just sold his B16A2 shortblock, that would have been perfect for you.

if you decide to part it out there are a couple things I want.

Yeah. I really love the car, so I'm gonna try to repair first. New to the Roc area, so not sure who's good. Any recommendations?

this should get you started: http://www.roclife.org/forums/showthread.php?t=77673

start searching the classifieds for a new shortblock. there aren't any Si's in the local junkyards now to my knowledge. here's one... http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1820382

there are anough people around here who know Hondas, you may be able to find someone to do it in their garage much cheaper than any shop.
