Default Dilemma

Hey guys, I have a dilemma!

Should I bother modding a b17y8 motor like the usual intake, header, exhaust or would I better off doing an engine swap to a k series?

Obviously just modding the b17 would be cheapest by far, but i want a bit of zoom.

Its going to be a daily driver, but I would like to feel some power when hit the pedal.

Anyhow any advice would be appreciated.

oops my bad I looked it up again its a D17A1, I was way off.

Same question applies though, are an intake header and exhaust going to do much for this engine?

Way to shoot for the stars with the K series. If you got the funds, go for it. As for you Omen, that is the best thing I've seen this week so far. If I'm ever loaded, I'm going to grab that engine and throw it in my fourth gen.

I'd give my nuts for that engine.
But I'm married with kids so I don't really need them anyway.
Then again that engine would just get me in trouble, and divorced.

The swap if you are goin to go that route and have the cash is the best way to go. but i wouldnt do the k series swap. yes its an awesome swap but alot of it is wow factor. i mean there are swaps out there that are better for what you want. i had the d16y8 and i swaped it out for a jdm b16a2. i looked at the k series but it was just over kill and way more than what i wanted to spend. cause if you do the k series swap you have less money to mod the car. i went with a cheaper swap so i could mod it to suit me and personalize it a bit.
