Default Struts, Springs, and Time Dilemma

I'm in a dilemma. I want to get four new struts and springs, but I don't want it lowered. Even if I did I don't think I could anways. I have 17" tires. They are Nitto Neo Gen ZR's. The inside of the rim is less than a quarter of an inch from the control arm and when the wheel is turned completely left or right there is, maybe, a quarter of an inch of space before the tire is agaisn't the wheel well. The back tires also sit at an inwards angle also. A lot of cars display this and if the tires arn't flat on the ground I don't see that car getting the best traction possible. I don't want to spend the money to get it aligned and then get all new suspension. But I also don't want my tires to be degraded in the next two weeks because I haven't fixed it.

I don't want to spend anymore than $250-$300 on struts and springs and I don't know what to get. To give a better visual aid I have pictures at the links below:

I plan on getting the parts on Ebay because of the great prices. If you have any input on something else that will help my handeling please let me know. I'm not very knowledgeable in automotive, but I'm no idiot. I might end up getting a camber kit or a damper kit or both. I really don't know there purpose at the moment, but I will once I research it. I do know that I will be purchasing struts bars and sway bars. Those it seems improve handeling.

KYB GR-2s. OEM direct replacements, which mean you're car isn't gonna lower any from installing the struts.

the springs on the other hand is a different story. almost all aftermarket springs have at least a little drop to them.

i think the least i've seen is .5 inches. you may be stuck with using your OEM springs.

but paying money for aftermarket struts and then slapping on OEM springs seems like a waste of money.

you could get full coilovers which let you adjust the height, usually up to four inches, but they tend to be pricier.

Fixed the picture links!!!

Can't I buy some sort of metal spacer to go on the strut for the spring to sit on so I don't grind?

Am I being to formal or to detailed or does no one have any advice or knowledge to share?

My apologies, if I now sound like an "@$$".

ok, there's like 500 threads on recommendations of what to buy, but anyway, Tokico Blues if you want a decent stock replacement, Koni Yellows if you want something performance. Don't bother changing the springs if you don't want to lower it at all. If you don't mind dropping it a tiny bit, Tein H-techs are about the smallest drop you can find and are a little stiffer than stock. You shouldn't need a camber kit, you just need an alignment; if your alignment has been out of whack for a while you might need 4 new tires. Polyurethane suspension bushings will help keep everything in spec (but the installation is a huge pain).

also, saying "I have 17" tires" doesn't tell me ANYTHING about whether or not they fit your car right; you need to give the FULL tire size

p.s. $300 won't get you too far, that'll probably get you the Tokicos and an alignment, and that's all

that tire size is fine, you can go lower if you want, but you're still going to need more than $300 to do it right.
