Sorry about the what you and your sister had to go through. One time I stepped out of my building and saw my car missing. I went crazy! I reported it stolen but thank God it was impounded because of a ticket I failed to pay. I don't want to go through what you guys went through.

thx for the sympathies.

is it a bad sign when you still dream about having the car? i think i might be obsessed a little.

i wish the car had been impounded. ohhhh, how i wish that had happened.

this might be a noob answer for your question. [8D]

i think the point of a transponder key is to keep people from hotwiring, etc, to get the ignition to start. like on my '01, the engine shuts off if my original key isn't used in the ignition. i think that's a transponder key, but i could be talking out my a$$ right now.

pretty much. the ignition "sees" a chip in the key that allows it to start only with the key in the ignition.

they had some turbo'd cars there with perfect front ends... Kinda makes me want to take one of those turbos... Also how are 2002 Audi S4's on the top ten most stolen car list?? They should be a safe car from thieves shouldnt they?

Also i have one of those transponder keys lol and the dealer didnt know what it did.
