There is this kid in my auto class who is apparantly a hug VW fan. My teacher has a '72 (i think) 427 corvette (which is SICK). The kid was talking smack, still does, that he could build a VW bug to beat my teacher's Vette. I didn't think it was possible, now it looks like it could happen. But knowing that kid, no way he could pull it off. He built an intake from Home Depot. My teacher was liek how are u gonna beat my vette if your building intakes from parts at home depot.

That VW probly has a ej20 in it, they make swap kits to fit everything from 3800 v6's to rotories to subie engines in them.

you can take a aircooled 1600cc and bore and stroke it until it gets to about 2200cc, with a lot of compression and a good cam and dual carbs it could beat a 427 vette easy, and do wheelies all day. but the motor wouldn't last long at all.
