You know after watching those test crashes, the wanting to lower my car has changed, and I would have never thought how crash at those speeds would look like. Imagine that could be ur civic and some one ran the light....

 

Hmm, do I still want to drop my car another inch?
Yes. But now I get to be worried about the front end of a suv hitting me in the face.

 

This is what happens to a civic when a car of a comparable size runs into it going about 65-75.

Its amazing watching all that metal crumple likea piece of paper. Screw lowering my car Im putting that money into a roll cage!

 

i hate seeing things like this, it makes me want to sell my civic and get something different. something more stable. but then i think about with my accident. i was going roughly 80 when the van hit me. it's higher then my car.

man that makes you think about driving a small car.i'm glad when my wife got hit in my coupe it wasn't in the door and a suv doing 50 mph. 1999 accord hit her going 40 mph and it did this. you can see in the pic the accord being slightly taller the impact was above the rocker panel

 

that's pretty horrible.[>:]

 

i hate to say it, but an inch or so lowered won't make a difference in an impact of that calibur, besides they picked one of the smallest civic chasis' against one of the larger suv's that weigh in at twice the car's weight, i guess they did that for a worst case senario to make the video more of an eyeopener.
