Couple videos from Sunday.
Well the Super D was all tuned up and ready to go Sunday for his first trip to the dragstrip, but when we got to the gates we were promptly informed that they weren't running FWD cars that day. WTF???
Anyway, I got a couple of cool vids anyway. This first one is a turbo LS1. It's a rear mounted turbo as you can see here...

Pretty cool right? This car has 100,000 miles on it and it is running 5psi. The owner told me that she picked up 101Hp from the 5psi. Sweet. I love how loud the thing is.
Turbo LS1
In case you couldn't read it, it was 11.32 @ 122mph.
This other is classic import vs. domestic and happened to be the only import out there. It's kind of an uninspired video, but I think it's a good example of stock vs. stock.

Yeah that was me. We were kinda tipsy since we discovered that there is a bar in that big building behind the starting line. The guy in the EVO wouldn't rev his motor before the green light.
They said that FWD cars take some of the "bite" out of the track ([sm=bs.gif]) but I think it was to keep all of the ricers away. The place that rented the track (Thunder Racing) is an F-body shop and more importantly, someone that used to work there started their own shop (Lightning Motorsports) and it is an import shop. I think they did it out of spite since they dont' get along.

EVO > Mustang
13.6 is slow for an EVO

If I'm not mistaken I saw that Mustang hitting it's brakes a few times down the track like the person driving was trying to stay just behind the EVO. But awesome vids anyway.

Sniper, how did you know that both cars were stock?
13.6 isnt that bad for a stock EVO and an amateur. I think it is listed at 13.2. You shoudl have seen some of his other runs, he was in the 14's.
I think those brake lights were just the way the sun was reflecting off of them.
