from the angle on that chunk of rod, it looks like he just overcompressed it from revs and a ton of boost. idiot. whats the rule? not more than 50% over factory HP without building the bottom? thats why guys. except on overbuilt engines like the 4g63 and most of Nissans older Dohcs. oh, and 2jz-gtes.

How did the rod get out of the block? Through the oil pan?

or through the side of the block...

i thought that the percentage of boost increase on a stock NA motor was actually lower than 50%, but regardless, this kid was a moron.

well, yeah, it is lower on most NA cars, but Hondas can handle an extra 50, and thats about all you should put through most factory FI cars too. and you hit the nail on the head, this kid was a moron. 600 on a stock american block? and on a street car nonetheless.

That kid musta blown that motor good to send a rod through the side of the block. Isn't the side of the block pretty thick?

The commentary is the funniest part. "What happens when you push 600 horsepower on a stock Cobra bottom end? You throw a f*ckin' rod, that's what happens." [sm=icon_rofl.gif]
