They only people I've ever met that cut themselves were kids who listened to puddle of mudd and mudvayne.

I've never met an "emo kid" who cut themselves.

The new generation of emo kids are just stupid.

Emo died in the 90s.

How old are you?

Ever hear of mope-rock? That's oldschool emo.

Emo now is bands like My Chemical Romance, Dashboard Confessional... they like to talk about their emotions and feelings. Like, the girlfriend who stole their heart who they were only dating for a week. Or how their parents won't buy them the new nintendo system.

Real emo music started with bands like "rites of spring" in the late 80s and moved onto bands like "The Get Up Kids" and "Weezer". Emo was after American Hardcore scene died... Hardcore as in Black Flag, Minor Threat, and Bad Brains. I guess people were sick of getting their asses beat at shows so they tried the exact opposite. Emo now has moved into an international craze with kids who wear girls pants, grow their hair long, dye it black and call themselves emo. It's a cheap imitation of goth and it's the "hip" thing to do.

I think in high school, we used to just call them "mods."

They were like goth kids, just not as cool...or scary.

Oh, and they all aspired to own Vespas someday.

EMO kids are like slinkies... not a lot of fun until you push one down the stairs.

I also enjoy mowing them down in the pits at Metal shows.
