The owner said he was the passenger, and his German acquaintance Dietrich was driving and took off after the crash.

Yeah, I've seen two others wrecked. One in Florida and one in Europe. The one in Europe split apart like that one in Cali.

The one in Florida was just a front impact and the engine was still good so it went on eBay for an obscene amount of money.

Yea, im surprised ferrari even let the guy do that. Regular ppl cant buy em new, so why let em get it wrecked?

Because the value of the remaining cars increases every time one is destroyed.
Every other Enzo owner on earth just made some money because their cars just got 1/347th (or whatever it is) rarer and more valuable.
