Then why would you discredit it as turbo lag? the only thing we have to go by is Jeremy Clarksons word for it... and i can believe it too, cause with an engine with a factory turbo doesn't put out even 300bhp when you strap one on to give it 400bhp then it would have to be fairly big

 

You will see absolutely the same picture if you compare any low displacement high redline engine to high displacement low redline. No turbo involved. On some american muscle you can just start on the high gear and still have a decent acceleration. try this on your honda, though...

Aha, I see now where the problem is. I googled turbo lag and see now that I used an academic/scientific definition ofit, while you guys used more popular one. On this scientific language what you call turbo lag is called boost responce.

Anyway, as usual both parties are right, as soon as you sort out terminology issues
