Not cleaning the engine bay... it's a daily driver, not a show car.

 

Clean it!! lol, alot of peoples are dailys..but I think its nicer to have it cleaned, and once you do a really good clean on it once, you dont need to put much effort into it anymore, just a couple wipes here and there when your board. Nice car though man.

 

looks great real real clean, future plans other then the above mentioned? N/A, boost? Wheels?

 

Future plans will be pretty much to supercharge it (JRSC), rims, bolt ons menioned above, GSR cams/gears,maybe a few other things like anLSD/clutch/flywheel combo,and then I'll be done.

Right now I have awaiting to go on; Megan Racing Hbrace/LCAs, GSR cams/gears, gutted cat (no emissions here), a few gauges, short throw, exhaust eventually, Blox IM.

This engine has been incredibly reliable, I don't want to get into internals on it.

2010 I'll be searching for as perfect of an EK hatch 5 speed as I can, painting it Championship white, and swapping a b16b after it's built to 1.8L, etc. It'll be my fake CTR track car, with the EM1 being a semi-daily driver.

dude, just clean it, it doesn't take that much effort. i cleaned mine a couple years ago and it still looks like the day i cleaned it.

 

So what? It rusts. Whoopty do. 1.28 later the bolt is replaced.

 

Personally, if you want to go supercharger, go with a procharger. Friday I got a ride in a friends Si that's putting down 303whp on his procharger... good lord that thing is fun. We were doing 140mph and it just wanted to keep going. However he's thinking about going turbo, he's maxed the procharger out and can't get anything more out of it but he really wants a lot more.

And as for those bolts, my only suggestion would to soak them for a couple days in PBblaster or something else. There's a sleeve inside that the bolt sits in, problem is it needs to unscrew from the sleeve and the sleeve almost always just turns with the bolt causing it to snap. Just be aware of that, I've broken all both bolts on both sides in both of my cars.

 

I'm just looking for 200 whp out of the EM1.
