I don't understand whats so special about a first youtube video.

 

It signifies the amount of boredom I was juggling around over the weekend. Enough to set up an account and make a quick video. Sorry if you can't appreciate what one does when he has nothing else to do.

Also, I wouldn't mind hearing what everyone else's car on this forum sounded like. Just thought some people would enjoy my video.

This video makes me want to cam my B16 out! How much of a performance gain did you notice, once the cams were installed? Did it affect your MPG? Do they make VTEC hit harder? Sorry for all the questions, just curious!

EDIT: Forgot you had a SOHC, so ignore anywhere that I made cam plural! I'm not too bright sometimes...

 

Definitely felt performance gains. At the time of installing the cam, I did the valve springs, retainers, IM, HG, Arp bolts. But no tuning system. Once I got my Hondata, it made the Civic a completely different car.

My MPG sucks! I am averaging like 20 city/24 highway. Absolutely horrible. I bet I could use a better tune, or a tune using not as much gas. I don't have an A/F gauge/sensor to see if I am running too rich yet.

Vtec engages at 4800 for me. I am thinking about backing it up to about 5000. When it hits, you do feel the Vtec, but since it's only a SOHC, it's not a huge difference (compared to DOHC).
