For one thing the GT's msrp may be mid $100K range but in all reality they sale for around $230,000 to $300,000 and you would have to be a delusional retard to dump $140,000 into any Honda product. $140,k will give you a Lingerfelter TT C6 with 1000+whp, or a Hennssey Viper, or a sick *** 2-3 year old Itialian sports car. Hell $140k will buy you a house, investment property.

The GT is prime example in Ford's faults and that is them trying to develope a engine design that simply does not work for them

 

ok i didnt read the article but all of you that are talking how you would rather mod a civic are fricken retarded. and you dont understand that most of the money doesnt go towards making a bad *** car. it goes to making a exclusive car that is bad ***. thats why i would take a viper over a vette. everyone and their mom has a vette but how many vipers do you see? I'd just buy my dream car and make it perfect and with the left over money I'd invest it or put it away for a while.

 

meh, vipers are pretty unbalanced, based on what I've seen on various shows and whatnot. The new vette on the other hand is a world class sports car. And yes, I concur, dumping that much money into a car such as Civic is very retarded.

 

I don't know man, the guy I know that owns a FordGT paid $160,000 for it. Not that I would ever pay that much for one..

 

Don't bet on a $140g Civic that can outrun a GT (in a straight line) being any kind of reliable. Ever see what 50psi does to an engine? And that's just one GT, i'm sure there are plenty of them out there that have never had a problem.
