Cool thanks for the vids. To tell the truth though I am not a viper fan in the least bit. The cars have major disadvantages by way of aftermarket suspension setups. The IRS kills all hope of them being what they could be. Also I would like to think that dodge could muster a bit more out of a 8.0 or 8.3 V10(I cant remember how big it is, I know the old ones were 8.0's but I think they went up a lil in the displacement department)
They are cool cars and all but to me they are more of a novelty car than anything. It took around 10 years from it's introduction for one of them to break 8's in the 1320 and they had this huge *** article on it breaking 8's in Horse Power Magazine. I am talking like a 3 page article then 2 pages after that they have a 1 PARAGRAPH ARTICLE on the first stock blocked LS1 breaking 7's. I honestly think the viper simply get way to much nut riding for what is paid for it. Your talking around a $100k car, I could name a couple cars much better than it in that price range.
I am not shy of giving credit to dodge on a number of things from the SRT4 to the SRT8 series of cars but the Viper simply does not impress me at all.

i should hope that a camaro can get into the 7s...but do you have information on a 7 second f body? notice, all of the vipers that are in the 8s have interior...radios...they are still easily streetable cars...
(not to mention that SVS got 2000 BHP out of their car...ive not seen many 2000hp SBCs...)

I am not trying to make this a chever vs dodge thing or a viper vs z28 thing. The 7 second LS1 was a 00 trans am with a procharger. I cant remember anything else but the interior was stripped in the rear with a roll cage. As far as the Viper's being streetable I could care less really, the last thing you will see me doing is driving a sub 10 second car on the street, it cost too much plus if I have that much sunk in a car the last thing I want to do is mess something up on it running to the store for a pack of newports and a couple 24oz Budlights.
I honestly think my main gripe with the Viper is the cost, IMO it is no more than a $60,000 car at most. I am thinking dirty thoughts about a new Challenger when they hit the streets, it may be the first time a mopar has ever sit in my driveway.
