Default Highly modded STi trying to keep up with a C6 Z06

http://www.dpccars.com/car-movies/08...orvetteZ06.htm

The Z06 has a chip and some sticky tires, the Subie is a Crawford WRX STi that is equipped with a Crawford Performance CP35R Turbo Kit and I-Speed USA ECU.

For those who think a domestic car can not handle good needs to watch this. The STi with a upgraded turbo kit and a host of suspension mods can keep a distant pace but not really gain on the stock suspension C6 untill the C6 driver stops running it hard.

THe MSRP is somewhere in the $70,000 range. The Z06 is one of the best sports cars on the market, and definatly the best bang for your buck.

Sorry but for the MSRP there is not another car that can touch 1+g's on the skid pad and 11.7 1/4 miles.

Against other new super cars it's a bargain, but new cars, and super cars for that matter are a rip. For 70k I think there are used cars you could purchase, mod, and bury a Z06 with change left over. Such as a C5.

That maybe true but you cant compare a new stock car vs a old modded car simply put it aint fair. The C5 Z06's went for $50k+ at their introduction which translates to about what the new Z06 is at after you consider the way prices of cars in general have went up.
