that is true. But hey at least we are doing better.

 

we had a 98 corolla and was glad to see it go.

power steering leaking - cost more than what the car was worth to fix it
the last straw was when I was opening a storage compartment in the interior and the door broke off in my hand

we kept the 96 civic ex sedan that had 20,000 more miles but never had anything go wrong except the driver's side motor for the power window and the brake master cylinder ( that was probably our fault because we never had the fluid changed and had to replace the master cylinder at 90,000 miles )

civic is much more fun to drive and what good is buying a cheaper corolla when you want to get rid of because you are sick of it falling apart.

 

Yea, I bet there are tons of horror stories about toyotas. That's why they sell, eh? My neighbour drove his corolla over 1 million kms with the same engine, he just maintainned it meticulously. That's another reason I switched to the dark side, my civic had little problems keep popping up. I haven't had a single problem with my truck so far. The only reasons I miss my civic are: gas mileage, stereo, handling, and gas mileage.

But hell, don't listen to me. I'm only one person.

I'm glad that the auto industry is heading in a more efficient direction.

 

any car will run forever if you maintain it well enough.

maintance is a every day thing... if it breaks YOU FIX IT... dont let it add up to a big pile of crap.LOL

 

actually i read that civic is moving on up to the first spot now. The car that people are buying the most
