Default Hot Import Nights - Raceway Park (Englishtown NJ) -- 56k LMFAO

Okay, I finally found time to re-size all the pics from last month (5/16). Me and a few friends went on a little road trip; we started in Blairsville with my buddy Derek's S13 and my friend Barney's Maxima. We went from Blairsville to Philly to meet up with Barney's uncle to get the Maxima's title since Barney was going to be trading it the next day. Philly was kind of sketchy; we stopped at a convenience store for food a few minutes after it had been robbed (ish)... from what we understood, a kid walked in, grabbed a bunch of stuff, and ran. Also, while we were there, a cracked-out dude danced his way into the store... that was entertaining, to say the least. From Philadelphia we went north through NJ up to NYC to spend the night at Barney's house. After a few hours of sleep, we left NYC to head back to PA, this time to get rid of the maxima for a shiny new(ish) S13 in Mount Carmel. From Mount Carmel, we embarked on the 5-hour drive to Englishtown, arriving at HIN at around 10, giving us 2 hours to take in all the sexy cars and gorgeous models we could handle. Leaving at roughly midnight, we then set back on the 6-hour drive back to Blairsville. In all honesty, the 18 hours in a car on 10 hours of sleep all weekend was well worth it. Well, now that the wall of text is out of the way, time for some eye candy

But what's this? Another R35 sitting in the parking lot? That's baller status right there... drive a $100k exotic to a show and don't enter it in the show

When you got in the gates to the actual show (not the parking lot thing right after the entryway) if you went to the left along the fence where all the 350Zs and 240s were it was sitting in the corner. Then that second one was right along the road in the parking area. I could've gotten an under-hood pic of the one in the show, but I figured the hood would still be open when I came back... it wasn't =[

A couple things.

1) It's a car show. Expect to see pictures of show cars, not m4d jdm tyte, y0! cars.
2) A car show with 100+ of the same style car (m4d jdm tyte, y0!) would be boring as h**l.
3) 90% of the cars there were boosted. And I'm not talking 14b turbos here, either. As far as I'm concerned, if a car can blow the tread off the tires in 4th gear, it could have paint featuring rainbows, unicorns, puppy dogs, and richard simmons and still be bada** in my book.
4) Most of the cars there were also either purpose-built drift cars (for example, the 240s, the silvias, and the v8-swapped 350z) or purpose-built road course cars (half the evos, the bmw's, etc). If you've ever watched a professional drift event, the cars don't exactly follow the stupid jdm fad.

i feel like half those cars never even get raced or driven, they are just too clean and by clean i literally mean it, i mean the engines and engine bays are in perfect condition, everything is. Thats the only thing i dont like, would rather see one that has actually been used...None of those cars are rice, you can sport stickers and stuff like that when u can back them up with ur engine.

Kevin, I was using a Nikon Coolpix S51; it's just really hard to take clear pics at night without a tripod. Personally, I'll take a few blurry pics trying to shoot freehand with a slow shutter speed at night than take no pictures because I didn't have a tripod.

And cronin, I agree with you. Actually, I'd bet it's more or less literally half of the cars are simply trailer queens. But I'd say about half of the cars (the drift cars anyway) were used for what they were built to do. I'd be willing to put money on the NOS Z33 being an actual drift car, and a few of the 240s had drift scars (if you look at the first picture from the show, you'll notice a giant crack going down the front of the bumper).
