Take it to a machine shop and have aplate welded over it.

Yuppers. Do the plate thing. It will take no time for them to spot weld it in and it will last a long time.

 

< has stepfathers shop with welder and all necessairy supplies. Gonna take it in one of these days and patch it up, gonna fix a few other areas before they become too bad

 

Do you know how to weld? Tig, Mig, Stick?

 

i can't weld for ****, but one of the mechanics will do it for me. i will just do the prep work.

 

Just my two cents, but this would be a great project to learn on if you have the time and desire to learn. It would just be some spot welding in about 20 places. Then some body putty. Good luck and post up some pics of it all done. I wanna see your work. LOL
