lol how much money do you think you would have to throw into a civic to beat that stang
you know how they say there are no dumb questions? "They" were wrong

Way too many variables to consider. Some newb could probably go drop $10k at a shop and have them build the beast. Where as a lot of dudes on this forum could probably do it for half of that on their own.

KB Mustangs are a force to be reckoned with, but they're far from invincible
Agreed, you need a Kb'd notchback mustang to be invincible [8D][8D]
A heads/cam, bolt on and tuned 00 to 02 F-Body will keep up with a KB'd notch and that is on motor. Add 150 to a 200shot and dare I say it would beat the notch ubless the notch was built and running a smaller pully. Quick..........yea but invinceible.......far from it. My bolt on M6 94 Formula could pull on a 92 gt with gt40 heads, headers, full exhaust. And My C5 will pull on a stock 03/04 Cobra that is stock(bolt ons, not tuned, no smaller pully). I mean no insults by this so I dont want a fight but mustangs are to the domestic muscle cars what civic's are to import sport compact cars. Cheap, ok performance, but by no means some crazy king ****. I like the 88-92 LX 5.0's though....well atleast the way the outside of them look but man the interior is absolute crap.

1. I actually ment a notch with a 03/04 kb'd cobra motor in it. Those single digits.

Oh and I know someone with a heads/cam/intake c5, and another buddy with a pully'd intake, tune 03 cobra. The cobra wins by ATLEAST 5 cars. Now I know they are invincible, but for the buck for buck, there isnt much that beats in. Although those LS1's are mighty great too. Hate the look of Camaros, but ws6's are hot.

Honestly, untill you get into supercars (saleen s7, Ford GT etc) there is not a domestic I would take over an 03/04 cobra. It would be a hard choice between that an a c6 z06.

I just love cars, no matter who makes them, as long as they are good fast cars.

See that depends alot on what heads, cam, bolt ons are selected for the gen 3+ gm V8's. Many of the combo's you see are fairly mild setups that are toned down a good bit for the street. My car runs 12.80's and it has nothing but a intake and exhaust, that's with me being worried to launch it hard because I dont have hardened half shafts or a beefy rear diff. That is with around 345whp. I know with hardened half shafts and tires that could handle a launch I could see low 12's because I trap at 108 to 110mph. A proper selection of heads and cam on a C5 could see high 10's low 11's with a tune along with a good tq converter if it's a automatic. The LS1's, 2's, 3's, 6's, and 7's are displacement and n2o ******. They love it the more you give both of them. I've seen juiced 422ci vetts lay down nasty times and be street driven. The 03/04 Cobra is about the best of what has been offered in the Mustangs though and I understand why alot like them. I am just a C5/C6 and 3rd gen F-Body fan through and true.

And I am a Mustang fan through and true, but I do damn well give respect, where respect is deservered. And those LS engines are nothing to be taken lightly.

And Just because we have different likes in cars, doesn't mean you have to take the sig I made you off.

I still love that c5.

I think you will like these though BTW...

I took the sig off because I am honestly tired of being judged as some domestic fanboy that hates on imports. I loved the sig. Nice pics also man, what is that a 454 or a 502? Then again it is a all aluim engine from what I can tell so it is either not a stock GM offering or it is a ZL-1 427 which IMO is one of the most ungodly, under recongnized factory GM engines ever built

*EDIT*

Also me not liking Ford or Mustangs does not mean I dont respect them and their owners. I love seeing people pour their hearts out into their cars be it a GM, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Toyota, or what ever. It matters not the canvas you paint on, all that matters is that your painting.............so to speak.

I didnt mean you didnt respect them, I was just saying that I do have respect for all car.

I remember him saying something like a 520, but it has been over a year since I asked, so it could be a 502.

And I know what you mean about the sig. I used to have a sig with my car in it (2003 Mistubishi Lancer, aka gas getter) and no matter what the subject matter of the debate was, all people could say was how I was a ricer, etc etc etc.

More than likely nothing because everyone thinks F-Bodies are crap on here but being a former owner of one I know different.
