Me at the race track in my 460hp Taurus
I thought it was funny as we were coming up with a bunch of those at work. My favorite was always:
FORD SHO
Fix Or Repair Daily because **** Happens Often

I have no plans to boost the Civic. I'd build up a DOHC motor if I were to boost it, but this is supposed to be my reliable daily driver so I can push more power out of my other car and not feel bad when I track it.

One thing that I think is weird, and this may be just me, but with all the cars out there, I mean smaller, lighter, faster stock cars, you picked out a ford taurus, a heavy car, and made it in to a race car. And watching the vid, that thing is like a 747 around the track, all over. Do you have any suspension done to that? Dont me to sound like jerk, just think its really unusual.
Actually, this car gets better lap times than a Ferrari F355, 360 Modena, C5 ZO6, supercharged S2000, NSX, and the like. That car is actually moving pretty fast around those turns. The only thing really holding me back is I was on street tires. When I post my other videos taken in car and the ones where I mounted a camera on the hood and on the side of the car, you'll get a better realization of speed. It's actually lighter than a Lamborghini Diablo ;-)
It's not my "race car". It's still a street car, but is setup to have some fun. Yes, there has been suspension work to include:

It's a great sleeper and a fun car. Here's a 650hp track SHO that really puts a hurt'n on supercars.... This one is gutted, roll-cage, etc...
This was a few weeks ago at PPIR.

Yes, I'm deep into SHO's, but it makes me quite a bit of money, so I'm not complaining.

hey yamahaSHO, for comparisons sake, what does your car run in the 1/4 mile? and what does it weigh?

The car is around 3,300 - 3,400lbs. At this altitude (Bandimere - 5820ft), we speculate it will run about a 13.9 w/ very high trap speeds. The problem is, I can't launch this thing worth a crap. FWD + stage III double diaphragm clutch, + lots of power = hard to modulate wheel spin.
They are big videos...
Here's a hood mounted video at the race track:

I'm impressed. I've never seen a fast SHO like this. Kudos for doing something different, I'm exactly the same way. Nobody ever suspects it. But, many props for taking something with the aerodynamics of a brick and making it quick.

Just kidding, can't wait to see some in car vids, that 460hp has got to seem pretty insane inside the car
