my firends dyno pull of his prelude untuned boosted

no no, not "tune-up", "a tune"
Like, when they dig into your computer and adjust air fuel ratios, timing, etc.. Big difference

Oooo. So does tune up shops do tunes and usually how much it cost and would you recommend getting one on a 02 civic with no motor modifications?
You definitely do not need a tune with no motor mods. Even with a ton of basic bolt ons it isn't usually neccesary. It's when you dig into F/I, higher compression, etc that you need a tune.
And no, most tune-up shops will not do tuning, you need to find a performance shop. Or, if you get lucky like me, find a friend that does street tuning

no a tune-up shop doesnt do it i think. And you don't need one now because your stock ecu controls how much fuel and air get into the engine. After boosting, those ratios have been changed(the turbo forces in more air) and the A/F map must be adjusted accordingly. It takes a proffesional and costs a pretty penny.

Got it now. thanks guys. And yeah i have a street man who install lots of parts for me and i think he can probably do that, but like you said wont need. So thanks for the info
ok my bad, he is running the aem ems so it does have a base line for his car for boost throughout the redline. when he had the stock ecu as soon as he hit 1psi of boost it would lean out like a **** and damn near detonate. so i am seeing big things in the future for this car. he is also getting help from the guy who owns the fast street driving prelude.
