i had my original 327 smoking like a freight train i had hot rodded it WAY TO HARD!!!! a 2speed power glide should not be ran at 90mph+ LOL or should i say STOCK one at least... first shift is at 15-20mph and then its all motor worken its @ss off.... ever since then i havent had the impala over 70mph..... and thats still somewhat pushen it....
my video was of it right after i fixed the starter which motor hadnt ran for at least a year... so needed to be ran thru and new gas. only alittle puff when i first start it up and then goes away now.

 

Mine has a 350 with 1.94/1.60 heads, a edelbrock performer rpm intake, stock gm 260hp/330tq cam, pete jackson gear drive. The car does not have a rev limiter but ignition cuts at around 5400rpm. I am soon to buy a better dizzy/coil and get a cam for it. Has a th350 transmission with a 2 peice drive line from a 60 model chevy truck, new uv joints and a new mid shaft berring. 10 bolt rear end with a worn lsd and 4.10 gears. I am at like 3500rpm at 70mph and get around 13mpg on the interstate. I also plan to swap the junky *** holly 750 carb out for a Demon and I have a air cleaner for it but the car starvs for air when it is on even with a new k/n filter element. Runs good though for a big car and is a blast to ride around in.
