We get these down in Texas all the time, but they're usually no bigger than like a pencil shaving,

 

Most of the ones I have run across are more the size of a Sharpie or a Marks A Lot marker. Scary little buggers. You should feel one crawl across your hand. CREEPY!!!

 

Some of them get so big they can eat birds
