ok look at my car, lol. does it look jdm at all? i am looking to have a clean lookin motor and i have seen painted and i have seen it the stock silver color. both look good but i dont know how i would go about gettin that kinda of shine back into the block, any suggestions?

 

just degrease it, scrub it really good, then use some nice aluminum cleaner on some of the pieces.

 

don't ever paint a B-series block. let the OEMness shine through. lol.

 

ill give it a go, i like the aluminum look i just didnt think i could get it bac all the way

 

maybe not 100%, but maybe 99%, lol, but yeah, even if the aluminum is still a little dirty, just think, you would have to clean it tremendously to paint it

 

you don't need to have a perfect engine block. just make sure the "red top" is blingin' shiney, so everyone will know you're rockin' a B-series.

 

haha yeah, the red top is already blingin big time, lol. all i need is a better spark plug cover, lol. also i painted my intake and exhaust manifolds(yes it was high eat paint and i realize its gunna eventually come off the exhaust but by then ill have my turbo mani) looks pretty good imo and ill get pics tomorrow when its light out.

 

i seriously hope you painted them black, anything else i might have to have a lil laugh

 

well the intake mani i painted black but the exhaust i did a lil different, i like it, take a look.

 

ok so i had that big dent in my passenger q-panel that was huge and so i finally got around to taken care of it after a few months, lol.
