Why couldnt normal people put those engines in their cars and take them on the street?
Comfort, traction, noise, and emissions.

I would love to know if that was like a stock block or an aftermarket full setup?
Here's a hint...

74mm GT42R, oh btw, Eggum Racing called this a "small" turbo. [:-]

After running the 7.97, she ran a 7.95, and then in the finals ran a 7.90 @ 185mph taking first place for that event.

sweet vid sov, that thing is fast

Was the horsepower ever stated for that civic?
According to one page, they're getting 1100whp out of a 84mm x 87.2mm B18C (1.9L).

The cams are so extreme the car barely idles, they probably have in the range of 100K in that car, and there is no way you're putting 1100 horsepower to the ground on the street. Their trannies have only 4 gears, and the suspension setup would not be fun at all to drive around in on the street, etc etc etc.

It is in all literalness a tubed out, caged, gigantic monster turboed, parachute and wheeliebar purpose built drag car.

Good for her..her hard work and all the support her family has given to her. I hope someone does sponsor her so we can see what she can really do.

im confused about the wheelie bar, i know its impossible to do a wheelie with FWD but was it doing it enough to cause a loss of traction? the bars would have to be like a half inch off the ground to be effective. or maybe im just not thinking which is very possible b/c i got no sleep. someone fill me in.

the wheelie bar is to prevent the car from lurching backwards which causes less traction on the front wheels. then wheelie bars prevent that giving the front tires more grip

Bingo, when that car goes the whole front of the car lifts up taking all of the weight off the tires. The wheelie bar keeps the weight of the car on the tires so that it has traction.
