D17A2 has 127hp and the D16Y8 has also 127...so whats the difference between these 2 engines...and since im thinkin about givin my newer D17 to my friend...he has a D16y8 engine in his old *** civic...should he turbo the D17 or would the D16 be a better choice?

 

Yes i already knew that about the HP differance between the 2 cars. But a K24 w/ a k20a2 head whoopie do. so what hes making 210 to the crank now. So that would put him around 185 to 190 to the wheels. He wont have a chance with me anyways. If he decided to throw on a turbo kit or s/c then yeah he would get me. But that race will never happen anyways so why are we aguring like little kids. Because I know when i get back from Iraq I will be doing a K24 w/ either a K20a or a2 head. and also stroking the block out also. Im not sure if my motor will be complete by the time i get back from Iraqdue to other issues that I have first of all.
