turned to the dark side...Mopar?
wait what? Dodge Neon ACR???!
yuppers! my friend and I just picked up a '95 Dodge Neon ACR(American Club Racer) tonight from a fellow SCCA member. we're getting rid of the rusted out Corolla and starting over the right way. this Neon has been owned and raced only within the SCCA. original owner lived and bought it up in New York. then a very well nationally known local autoxer picked it up and raced it for a while. then the guys we bought it from bought it from him at the beginning of this year and now have much bigger things to build so they practically gave it to us.
we picked it up for $1400, has 128k miles on it. has Bilstein shocks, intake, exhaust and short throw shifter. completely gutted on the inside. Momo and Sparco racing seat, both in excellent condition, Spacro is only a few months old. 4 sets of wheels, 1 stock set with no tires, 1 stock(i believe) with crap all seasons, 1 with good Hankook RS2 and another set with almost new Kumho V710 R-Compounds(
). also came with 4 point Autopower(i believe) bolt in roll bar. Grand GT racing steering wheel and also another racing steering wheel i do not know the brand of. a full set of Energy Suspension bushings. a new Exedy clutch and flywheel in the box. a brand new in the box strut bar. and also all the interior pieces in case we want to put it back together..
anyways here pics..

the Sparco seat. no tears, no dirt, no stains, i dont even know if it was used...this will probably end up going in my civic

oh and he also gave me a clean set of Del Sol wheels with tires, another set of Enkei wheels with tires and 2 Del Sol seats for free
. the Del Sol wheels i'm keeping but the rest i'll sell.
we couldnt bring everything back today so in the next couple weeks we'll be picking up the rest of the parts, who knows what else he'll give us..
ill get day time pics tomorrow and of the interior.

as far as modifications, just about nothing. i've seen the car race and it can be pretty quick as is. theres really no reason to spend any more money on it..
as far as racing, just about every form lol. we'll autox it without a doubt. hopefully we'll be able to get out to the race track some more and get our racing license. only thing holding us back from that is money. entry fees and car maintenece(brakes, tires, etc..) get way up there for track racing.. and we'll also try it off road at some rallyx events.

how much for the Del Sol seats? lol. And what color is the stripe on them? Are they in good condition?
Mine are falling apart and I am in dire need of new seats, but I love Del Sol seats so much that I haven't bought anything yet.
I also take donations.
