I know next to nothing about cars so someone explain to me how did this happen? He blew a rod but why and how?

 

you know how we always tell ppl to not go over 8psi on stock internals? well he put a supercharger on and was making over 600hp...so thats gotta be a good 15psi on stock cobra internals. basically...he broke a rod and threw it through the oil pan. somehow they found parts of it :P or maybe thats what was in the engine bay.

bet the vette guy is like 'some punk kid in a mustang tried to race me and blew out his engine' where the mustang guy is like 'some punk old guy in a vette tried to race me and got his *** handed to him. (then gave me a lift home)'

i feel sorry for the guy...he was an idiot who prolly knew next to nothing about cars...but i still kinda feel sorry for him

edit: oh btw...AWESOME find! that was deffinately worth two and a half minutes of my life!

 

Thanks Nails. Basically he didn't change any of the internals to handle the power and a rod broke.

yea 600 horse is pushin stock internals lol. Feed bad for the kit thou.......that car sounded sweet.
