But my point was that wheres everybody doing stuff like this in the us?! U dont see someone taking a wrx and puting a eg hatch on it...you dont see anyone puting a LS1 (or whatever it is) into s2k down here, if they do engine swaps like that they do em in eg's or tegs or into their 1903 Chevy hot rod...i wanna see more stuff like the cibaru done. Those projects get my respect.

have you not seen travis and his ek hatch with the ls1? he lives here in tennessee

I already covered the civette. Jeez, get with the program

Plethoric, I'm not saying the car wouldn't be fun, but I'm just saying people need to start doing different swaps... an LS1 swap is cool, but people have put that engine in d*mn near everything.

Im so sick of engine swaps haha specially with us and our civics its like nothing new for us now if there were more projects where they took like a v8 Stang and put a EG or EK coupe on it now thatd catch my eye. And before yall jump on me it doesnt have to be a civic that was just the first idea that poped into my head lol

So the turbocharged H22 in the rear of a Del Sol isn't impressive?

Reaper thats not what im saying. Projects like that (the del sol) are kool and more interesting than a LS1 into something cause its being largely over used. Its like people with their civics their first idea is to throw a B16 in it cause thats what everyones been doing for forever now. I like the whole body swap ideas haha and NIKE thatd be soooo lame hahaha but whatever floats ur boat sir

Edit: oh and Reaper what motor was in that stang? or is that the twin turbo viper motor in a 95 stang that u were talkin about someone needing to do before?

Gah... dude's from Calgary. So let's ignore the MR del sol... I believe there's another member on HT who did the same thing, though... and I know there's someone else that did the same thing on a teg, but I don't know where to find their project threads.

For more info on the MR sol, Gemini Project (H-T warning!)

And are you talking about the tokyo drift mustang? From what I heard, they gave up on the swap during construction because they could never get it to run right; the only mustang in the movie that actually had the swap done was the one during the swap scene.
