I had an idea kind of like this once. Except mine was powered completely by hydrogen and oxygen, no gasoline. I remember a while ago in chemistry class we did an experiment where we filled a small eyedropper with certain proportions of hydrogen to oxygen, and squeezed the gases out onto a candle. Of course the on with 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part oxygen made the loudest pop because it forms water through a combustion reaction. I figured that with enough research, a car could be developed powered only by hydrogen and oxygen using this same concept. If they could get this to work, it'd be great because the only by product is water.

I'm not sure but this could very well be the exact concept behind a hydrogen powered car, but I know nothing about them.

yeah, the only byproduct is water, but what about that H-bomb in your trunk? i mean, it wouldnt be fun to get rear-ended by a bus in my car, but at least right now, i wouldnt take out a city block.

Hydrogen is an excellent concept. I belive that that should be done. Theres is plenty of that stuff to distribute.. BUT hydrogen does have a little nast tendency to explode considering its instability. But Im very sure that in the emergency event, somebody will figure out how to get around that.

why not alchohol? if you could get around the whole corrosion thing, it would be a simple matter of changine AF ratios to convert a gas car, to alcohol, and alcohol is clean burning, and is WAY cheaper than gas. and also, the most common way to make hydrogen is to burn oil. and thats not exactly clean, yknow?

true.... but why do converting when you can just use distilled wheat? no conversions neccessary.
