Well I finally found another car that I decided to buy instead of fixing up my honda at the moment. Its a 1992 JDM 180sx its in pretty good shape (needs new paint) and only needs a minor tune up. I will however be fixing my civic up in abit some new wheels/tires for summer and body fix up. I havent driven the new one much yet it needs some oil and that waiting for the rain to leave. I will be on the forums here as always though. lol Just thought some guys might like to see that I finally bought something after posting up a few what should I get forums of different cars.

wow, it's a virgin sx, that's a pretty good find if it's in decent shape.

 

i was looking to but a sx but i dont know how it would be in the winter. u should totally do a sr20det swap!!!

 

I never understood why would one want to sit on the "wrong" side, not to mention shifting with left hand. Wouldn't that be a pain in the *** to pass if you're on a 2 way road and can't see $hit if you're behind a truck or a van?

 

it is a pain sometimes but it really isn't too bad. It takes time to get used to but passengers (mine atleast) really enjoy it lol. Also this is a unmolested 180sx. It is from Japan, it does not require a sr20det swap. This engine is the sr20det redtop. The JDM vehicle is equipped with it where as the us/can versions could not be had in the det version s13.

yes this car was tough to get actually there was alot of offers on it because it is unmodified

lol Ill give you a ride if I ever come to the US for holdiays , lol jk It is a nice car I like it alot so far, I bought it for about 3900. That is a deal around here as they go for about 6000-7000 in this area. So I might leave the paint this year and just enjoy it. I ordered a 3" down pipe, Cat and the newer apexi dual n1 exhaust system.(first thing to replace on a turbo car as I learnt here)I did alot of research and this exhaust is suppose to be a really good one, more low end torque while still maintaining higher end performance. Plus these motors sound badass with this exhaust I think anyways. I will try to get a few more pics once the sun comes out. Its got the rare climate control lcd in the car too which is nice. My plans this week hopefully are too chang the oil and filter, spark plugs (iridium 0.3 gaped plugs) and get a coolant flush. Bolt on the exhaust if it shows up this week. Kind of a newb question is the intercooler used to cool air only? lol

yeah, they just cool the air going into the engine
