For a drag race AWD still is not better than RWD. Weight shifts to the rear thus makinf the front wheels pointless and AWD adds more weight.

 

Yea but you can launch @7k

 

but if you have enough power the front wheels are not going to be making good enough contact to matter. You may be able to launch at 7000rpm but something will break or you will still be spinning.

I just thought that it was funny how he went all the way up to 20 lengths. Why even bother racing if you are gonna ask for 20 damn lengths, thats not a race. Dont bother racing, let alone on T.V. if you are gonna need that much length. If that was me, and i managed to pull the win, i wouldnt even feel happy or like a winner saying, "Yeah i bet him dude, with TWENTY car lengths!" come on

Guys I'm totally lost here!!!! I've never heard of this show! How about some site info for this show and maybe the channel!!...I'd like to do some reading!!! I like watching Danica on Spike and all, but I'd also like to see some people lose their @#$ too!! And I don't know much about HP and civics...but if that car had 600 ponies and he still lost.... Then that car needed a better owner!

 

If you watched the episode you will also see that Civic kid had what appeared to be an open differential. Just another nail in his coffin for taking on a Trans Am in a Civic...

...it looked to me like his car was not completed. Really this was a poor matchup. I would have ratherwanted to see a SRT-4 or Cobalt SS or Focus over the Civic or a Supra or RX7 or NSX against the Trans Am...
