KBB is overrated, the selling price has alot more to do with what a little out of touch book or website has posted. The EG hatchs are hot now and have benn for a lil while. The demand is up for them and people are paying the $3000+ price tags for them. I for one am not interested in your car for $3000 or $2000 but I just thought I'd drop a line in here and say this. If you feel that is what it is worth then go for it, sit on it till someone buys it because someone will. Also dont get in a mad rush to sale, you will end up dicking yourself over like that.

You should move to California..The EGs are starting at 2000 for a salvaged title BEATER.....the clean cars like yours are closer to 2800-3000. Stick to your price.

Okay if you dont' like KBB go to NADA, its' valued even LOWER than kelly. Kelly is known for being overpriced so when I use kelly to rate a vehicles value, that's being generous. A car's value is based on availability, and depreciation. If you went to the bank and asked for a loan for that car for 3k they'd say no. So I'm sorry but its not valued at 3000.00 dollars, nor should anyone pay that. Just because tuners(who represent a very SMALL portion of the market) think the 5g hatches are HOT doesn't change the market value. Just my 2Cents.

You wanna get into details the bank would not give a loan on that car being it's age.

NADA is not all knowing either. My point is that market value and street value are two totally different things. Do you think a 72 Chevelle SS454 is valued at over $50,000? No, but yet you can sit and watch them be bought up for that if not alot more money at the Barret Jackson Auctions. And no I am not comparing a 72 SS454 to a eg hatch but you get my point. A product is worth what people are giving for it and a EG hatch that looks that good goes for more than $2100 all day everyday

I can see your point to an extent. There are always niche's in the market and in cali that might be one of them right now. BUT he is selling the car online(increased risk) increased transportation to get it to the destination point. That changes alot in my opinion, not to mention cars have different resale values based on location. Those hatches are easy to get over here for a few grand, especially when they aren't mint, high milage, etc.

p.s. the bank will give you a loan for almost anything if you have good credit.

I have flawless credit and at the age of 25 have a 740 beakon score which most 40 to 50 year olds dont have and the bank will not give a auto loan on anything older than 7 years old. Sure they will give me a personnal loan but not a lower intrest auto loan.

Eitherway both you and I have made our points. You threw out an offer, he turned it down, lets move on please.
