FS: Dinan Computer for 92-95 Civic Si
Hi all,
I've got a Dinan replacement computer for a 1992 to 1995 Civic Si (non-ABS). It may work with the Ex also, but I'm not sure.
The computer replaces the factory computer. It's an easy install. You will need to run higher octane gas with it (plus works, super is better). Dinan is known best for their work on BMW's, but they did some honda tuning also. According to Dinan, the new brain raises the rev limiter to 8,000 rpm and gives (supposedly) 10 hp and 15 lb/ft of torque. The original book that came with it shows dyno results to support this.
I can tell you from driving it in my dearly departed 92 Si that it made a big difference, kinda like when you turn the A/C off and you get that extra hp back. Revving to 8k rpm is sweet too. I had it for 120k+ miles with no problems whatsoever.
email me if interested at ryecatcher@yahoo.com
price is $175 plus shipping.

That's true, but if you shift at 6600 rpm, you'll drop back down out of VTEC range due to the tallish gearing of the si. With the Dinan chip in, I could shift at 8,000 in first and be on the cam in second. Also, second was good for 64+ mph, versus 59 mph with the stock limiter. That dramatically alters 0-60 times, as you are saving yourself a shift. Plus, the engine just screams like an F1 car. That's reason enough ;-)

"1992-1995 Civic SI and EX have 125 HP @ 6600 RPMS......thats top power.....going over is kinda
pointless.......just wasting fuel. Have fun...... "
