SOLD!!! Lock it up
Asking $700 obo so don't be affraid to just toss out a number, I just need to make close to enough off selling this to fix my 93' civic coupe.
Located in Toledo, Ohio
Selling my 1989 Honda Civic DX Hatchback. It's got the 1.5L 16-valve SOHC engine mated to a 5 speed manual. The clutch feels fine. And according to the previous owner it's got a timing chain installed in place of the typical timing belt. But I've never checked to verify that.
I have owned it for about a month and have put close to 5K miles on it or so and it's never let me down, runs great. But I just bought a 93' coupe that I really want to get back on the road. It's got around 180K but the odometer currently in the car is inacuate due to the fact that I swapped gauge clusters so that the car would have a tachometer.
The car has aN1 stylemufflerinstalled so it's fairly loud, but it comes with the silencer which does make a pretty big difference. Also has an aftermarket CD player and door speakers that work fine although the CD player doesn't seem to fully shut off(the backlights stay on even after you shut off the car).
Right now the car could use a few new tires as the previous owner only purchased one new one a while back. All 4 hold air and I've been driving on them for a few thousand miles but the tread is getting fairly slim. May need an alignment but not sure since I haven't really looked into it.
Body is in okay condition, but needs a drivers side front fender because when I bought it the drivers side door didn't work and when I replaced it we removed the messed up old fender and it does have some rust around the rocker panels and the back of the rear wheel wells. I also installed a passengers side mirror as the DX hatchbacks didn't come with one from factory, altough it could use to be painted since it's been painted white at some point and the drivers side one is the factory black. Has a cracked windshield but I have never found this to be a problem with visability as the crack is low on the windshied.
I'll take a few better pictures as soon as i can. But here's one for now.
