I had typed this big long ad because of just how painfully excrutiating what I'm about to do is for me. I'm about to leave behind 16+ years of driving pleasure to make the Ultimate Sacrifice for my wife.

She needs an automatic. I have a 5-spd.

That's about it, really. If gas was still 60 cents a litre I'd just make her take the minivan to work, but at $1.00 and rising, we cant do that.

Mine is a 97, LX, Green w/tan interior. Everything is stock and its in great shape, 180KM. All Honda-serviced on-time, everything is up to date incl timing belt, water pump, new tires, brakes, etc etc etc etc. Believe me I'm seriously considering swapping the transmission, thats how much I love this car and the engine is as good as the day it drove off the lot.

Your's better be as good if not better. 1997 or newer Civic, 4DR (might consider Accord), not pimped please or major mods. Has to be automatic, no more than 185000 KM. And you need to be a Canadian owner, thanks.

I can't believe I'm about to do this. But unless I can find some cheapie automatic for her to drive and just buy that, I'm going to have to give up 5-spd driving. Life will never be the same again, I can just feel it.

 

Only because I feel bad for you for having to get rid of your 5-speed am I not locking this thread. You need to post some pics ASAP!
