I'm swapping a 94 EX motor and tranny into my 92 CX hatchback and only need a distributor to finish the swap. All the salvage yards around me don't have anything, and they cannot find any on their computers. Does anyone have what I need, or a place that might have what I need? I tried Distributor King form eBay stores and the one I got doesn't work. It doesn't point to the right cylinder when firing. It is 90 degrees off, and I cannot figure out why. I've checked and rechecked the timing of the crankshaft and camshaft and that is spot on. I don't know if buying new plug wires and using one old one so the number one cylinder will reach the cap where number two is supposed to go will fix my problem or not. I guess I would rather have a proper part for the swap. Please help me out.

 

you dont need a d16y8 dizzy thats a obd2(96-00) dizzy
you need a d16z6(92-95) dizzy for your swap


Tell me what engine it is that your are putting in

 

I'll have to look at the engine code again, but the engine and tranny is out of a 94 civic EX. The project has been on hold for a while, and I'm just trying to button everything up and get it on the road.
